Tiniest Tutu
I was very privileged to recently make the Tiniest Tutu for a very special little girl.
Pinks and Lilacs and silver sparkles are very muted and soft so as to not overpower her tiny frame.
The differences between an Adult Tutu and a small child are quite challenging.
The body shape of a young child and the muscle development at that age are very different and affect how the Tutu is constructed.
I dyed Silk Duchess satin and Silk Brocade for the Bodice.
Silver Silk Dupion piping enhances the silver embroidered
motifs with the dyed pink lace.
Plenty of small Swarovski crystals dotted around the skirt and a couple of larger stones on the bodice catch the light.
The Skirt had Italian net softly pleated with an overlay of Silver sparkle Tulle. A simple plate with Lilac embroidered net and a dyed pink motif completed it.
