These are Pull on Tutu skirts with 7-9 layers of net depending on your size chosen.

The pattern comes with the Panty pattern and a few pages of notes including the net cutting chart.

As with the other Tutu skirt patterns there is NO PATTERN for the cutting of the net.

A net chart is used to guide you according to size chosen.

Ladies Small, Medium and large will have separate cutting charts added as they are not on the notes included.

Only suitable for Stretch all ways (Horizontal and vertical stretch) fabrics–eg: Lycra and velvet.

Check SIZE CHART on the Product Info- ‘Stretch Tutu pattern info and size chart.’ (Main Menu)

They are designed for use with the Stiff Oz net but can be changed accordingly.

The Panty has the Upper and Lower line marked for net placement.

You just fill in the rest of the layers evenly spaced.

There is an elasticated waistband.

There is a few pages of notes which come with the pattern showing how to construct the panty.

The Stretch Tutus Booklet can then be purchased and followed showing the net attaching and finishing.

There is a piece of Italian #1 net 1.75m wide in Ivory available.

Slightly finer than the #1 English net.

The hexagonal hole is bigger than the Stiff net 27 gsm.

Use the Diamond Tulle #3 or #7 for the outer layers to give a full effect

Metallic woven fabric

Italian woven metallic fabric which is NOT a  knitted construction.

Used for decoration and making appliques or costume use.

A stiffish fabric -not suitable for machine washing.

As it is loosely woven the fabric will fray when cut–Either cut with heated scissors to seal edges or hem as normal.

The Lurex metallic thread fabric is quite effective as a sparkly addition to any costume for stage etc.

Width is 150 cm.

Romantic Tutus–A very fine tulle commonly used for the outer layers of Romantic Tutus which give a very full effect.

Use the Hexagonal Tulle (#7)  or the (#1) for 1 layer next to body to prevent tangling in the dancers legs.

NOT the standard Dress net found in Craft shops–this is a Fine Tutu Tulle.  (No. #3)

Fine Diamond net slightly denser than the veiling light-weight Tulle but finer.

Used for Romantic Tutus and Bridal Veiling, costumes and general Fashion.

Ipcabond Nylon thread Cone 4500m

IPCABOND bonded nylon thread in Silk white colour Cone–4500m—60’s Core. Extremely tough thread.

American thread 36 (TEX 80)—Heavy Fabric 400gsm

EXTRA strong thread used in Upholstery and hand sewing for where extra strength is needed.

I use for tacking and sewing Bodice to Basque on my Tutus

Colours – White, Silk White, Pale Ivory(Natural), Black

Needle size – 120 for machine sewing

These reels come from large Cones of 5000 Metres which I manually wind onto small wooden reels for ease of use and to offer at a more realistic price.

These are not perfectly wound as it is done by hand.

Large wooden reel size – 23 mm diameter x length 80-100m

2 medium reels will be sent if large ones out of stock.

Handy for hanging patterns.

I use for hanging my layers of net to be gathered when making a Tutu.

Slip a large Coil-free safety pin through the net and hang on hookette.

Mild steel hookette – 2 throat sizes–shorter at 2 cm x 2 cm or wider at 2.5 cm x 2.5 cm.

Size – 11.6 cm long x 2 cm wide approximately.

Throat size 2.00 cm OR 2.5 cm x 2.5 cm.

Bronze semi tinted mild steel hookette  – Size 12 cm x 1.7 cm approximate

Throat size 1.4 cm x 1.7 cm approx.
