These are Pull on Tutu skirts with 7-9 layers of net depending on your size chosen.

The pattern comes with the Panty pattern and a few pages of notes including the net cutting chart.

As with the other Tutu skirt patterns there is NO PATTERN for the cutting of the net.

A net chart is used to guide you according to size chosen.

Ladies Small, Medium and large will have separate cutting charts added as they are not on the notes included.

Only suitable for Stretch all ways (Horizontal and vertical stretch) fabrics–eg: Lycra and velvet.

Check SIZE CHART on the Product Info- ‘Stretch Tutu pattern info and size chart.’ (Main Menu)

They are designed for use with the Stiff Oz net but can be changed accordingly.

The Panty has the Upper and Lower line marked for net placement.

You just fill in the rest of the layers evenly spaced.

There is an elasticated waistband.

There is a few pages of notes which come with the pattern showing how to construct the panty.

The Stretch Tutus Booklet can then be purchased and followed showing the net attaching and finishing.

Do research as other websites offering net are not the same quality-be careful who you purchase from.

A 100% Nylon Italian net in 150 cm width only. Not a polypropylene net and it is not suitable for Pancake Tutus.

Please order samples to make sure this is suitable for your projects and to see colours.

This is a more delicate net and used mainly in between more robust net layers for colour variety..

As with all nets and fabrics do not place near open flames.

10″ long steel dye rack

Showing a piece of hooping in the rack

As it is Polymer based (nylon) it can be dyed to blend with your skirt. Use an acid dye. A liquid dye works better than the powder dye.

Rit dye alone does not dye Black and dark colours. Use a combination of Synthetic dyes and an Acid dye for Black or dark colours. RIT liquid acid dye and RIT Dyemore are suggested but experiment first.

Dye racks are available for holding the hooping to then dye in a pot.

These are 10″ (25 cm approx.) long. Made from Industrial grade steel.

Small racks to hold hooping for a Tutu skirt.

Your hooping can match the Tutu netting if so desired.

Sometimes a matching colour to your net will show more, so experiment with a slightly paler colour.

You will need around 2.0 – 2.30 m for a 14″ skirt depending on hip size. ( this includes an overlap of about 4″)

Around 1.80 m – 2 m for a 10 year old skirt—measure first as different size hips make the skirt smaller or bigger.

A 15″ skirt could use about 2.5m hooping depending.

To join overlap hooping by about 4″ (10 cm ) and bind with strong electrical tape.

There is a scallop along both edges of the lace.

Contents is 50% Polyester, 37% Viscose, 13% Metallic

Width is 1.00 – 1.07 metres.

Silver Twinkle Organza

White, Gold, Lilac

Main photo front to back— Silver, White, Pink, Lilac

A Twinkle Organza fabric which can be used for Tutu Plates and Applique work.

This fabric is soft and movable (like chiffon the edge ‘hang out’– depending how you cut it)

Can be used as a base for the plate decoration which just gives an extra dimension to the skirt.

The edges do fray. Cut using a heat gun or simply roll stitch the edge. Lace can also be attached around the edge.

100% Nylon

114 cm wide

The White looks like it has Pale Lilac in and is not a pure white.

The Silver looks like it has a pale blue tinge to it.

Please order a fabric sample if unsure of the colours.

Metallic Silver Trim on a White Tutu skirt

Metallic Gold on a white Tutu skirt

The trim is sold without the net and lace it is photographed on.

A corded and beaded Trim embroidered onto an Organza base.

Metallic Silver and Metallic Gold colours.

The Metallic Gold trim has an organza base of pale gold and the Metallic Silver trim is on a clear organza base.

Sequins and tiny pearls and beads are hand sewn onto the trim.

Please allow for discrepancies as with any hand sewn items.

Where the trim is cut through, the hand sewn beads will be loose and the thread will need securing when you re-attach to the garment.

Measuring approximately 9 cm in height by 6.5 cm each scallop width.

If you are not sure of the colour then order a sample.
